Autopsy completed on infant found dead in Edmonton parking lot
Edmonton police say an autopsy into the death of an infant that was found in south Edmonton last week has been completed.
The EPS says Saturday afternoon, officers were called to a shopping complex near Parsons Road and Ellerslie Road.
When they arrived at the scene, officers found the body of a baby.

On Thursday, an autopsy was conducted and was able to confirm that the infant died prior to birth.
Police note the cause and manner of death are pending due to additional testing that still needs to be completed.
Additionally, the death is not believed to be linked to any of the nearby businesses.
An investigation is still ongoing.
