Hope Mission is still looking for support despite mail-in donations being stopped.
In a press release Tuesday, the emergency shelter says it is facing a record demand for service, and the untimely postal workers strike isn’t helping their efforts.
The increased demand has meant that the shelter needs to provide around 2,500 meals every day, which is up from 1,800 a day last year.
Despite no mail-in donations, Hope Mission is still accepting donations, and receiving help from West Edmonton Mall.
Hope Mission says WEM has opened its doors, allowing a location for Hope Mission to be able to accept donations from Edmontonians.
E360 Solutions has also sponsored a booth in the mall, where donations can be dropped off between Nov. 19 and Nov. 28.
Additionally, gifts can still be purchased online, or by calling 1-855-836-4673. Donations can also still be dropped off at Hope Mission which is located at 7011 Girard Road.
