Police are asking for help from the public to find a man believed to be responsible for robbing several weed stories in Calgary and Edmonton, while in disguise.

On Sunday, Sept. 1, around 11 p.m., just as the store was closing, a man entered Lux Leaf Cannabis in Taradale. Police say he demanded cannabis products from employees then left the store on foot with several items.

Throughout September and October, police believe the same man robbed several more stores across Calgary, where he would go into the business near closing time before ordering the worker to hand over cannabis products, and then fleeing on foot.

Investigators say the man had a gun with him during most of the robberies.

The man is thought to have committed similar crimes in Edmonton.

He is described as a 25 to 35-year-old man, between 5’6″ and 5’10” tall, with a medium build.

The suspect disguises himself by wearing fake beards and moustaches, baseball hats, and sunglasses.

Anyone who has information about these incidents, or who knows the identity of the suspect, is asked to contact the Calgary Police Service non-emergency line at 403-266-1234 or the Edmonton Police Service non-emergency line at 780-423-4567.
