Commemorative teepee outside Lac La Biche RCMP detachment set on fire

RCMP in Lac La Biche is investigating an arson after a teepee was set on fire outside the detachment.
Around 11:15 p.m., Mounties were alerted that a commemorative teepee outside the RCMP detachment was on fire.
Officers responded with fire extinguishers and called for assistance from the Lac La Biche Fire Department, and were able to extinguish the fire.
RCMP says the teepee was a gift from the Beaver Lake Cree First Nation and served as a symbol of the partnership established over the years.

Mounties ask if anyone has any information regarding the fire to contact investigators at 780-404-2500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
