“Upon arrival, officers located a male with significant injuries. EMS responded and treated the man, but he was declared deceased on scene,” police said in a statement.

EPS says an autopsy was conducted Thursday, and it was able to confirm the identity of the man who was killed as 22-year-old Jashandeep Maan. The autopsy also was able to confirm that Maan had died from “multiple sharp force injuries”.
Police confirmed 40-year-old Egar Wesker was taken into custody following the incident, and he was charged with second degree murder following the autopsy.
“We can confirm that both men were not known to one another, and this appears to be an isolated incident,” says Staff Sergeant Colin Leathem with EPS Homicide Section. “The accused remained on scene, was swiftly taken into custody by our officers and we have no additional concerns for public safety at this time.”
