Fire damages home in north Edmonton

Edmonton firefighters were called to a house fire near Alberta Avenue early Wednesday morning.

A neighbour reported flames coming from the roof and back door of the home near 117 Avenue and 91 Street at 5:30 a.m., according to Edmonton Fire Rescue Services.

Fire crews arrived at the residential structure fire within five minutes. The fire at the back of the home was under control in an hour.

According to EFRS, no injuries were reported. The fire was declared out just before 9 a.m.

It is not known if any people were inside the building. Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
