Police looking for 5 men after man bear sprayed, robbed in central Edmonton

Edmonton police are looking for five men after an alleged robbery and assault over the weekend.

EPS says around 10:15 p.m., officers responded to a report that a man had been pepper sprayed and had his wallet stolen by five men on bicycles.

Police attended the scene near 100 Street and 102 Avenue, where the man was also treated by paramedics for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

One suspect has been described as riding a bicycle with a white frame. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing a black baseball hat and a mask. He was also wearing a black hoodie and black pants which had a white stripe down the sides.

The other four men were described as wearing dark-coloured clothing.

Reports indicate following the robbery, the five men fled the scene on bikes.

EPS don’t believe the suspects and the victim knew each other prior to the incident.
