By News Staff

No serious injuries were reported after a semi-truck collided with a Route 501 Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) bus near the Capilano Transit Centre Monday morning around 9:30 a.m.

The front of the bus was heavily damaged, as glass shards from the front windshield were scattered at the scene on 94b Avenue and 50 Street.

“A replacement bus took over the route with only minor delays to service,” said Ryan Birch, the director of bus and security operations at ETS.

CityNews contacted the Edmonton Police Service, which is investigating the incident, but did not immediately receive a response.
