Athabasca Fire deals with large structure fire Tuesday

RCMP and the Athabasca Fire Services say a large structure fire impacted Highway 2 and Highway 55 Tuesday morning.
The town located roughly 140 kilometers north of Edmonton, was forced to divert traffic due to the large fire that hit its downtown core.

Around 11 a.m., fire crews responded to the blaze. At this time, there is no word on the state of the fire or if it has been fully extinguished.
Several detours were put in place, and drivers were asked to follow the detour signs.
