Police say two children, aged seven and 10, are in hospital with serious injuries after the car they were riding in allegedly ran a red light before being struck by an Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) bus on Sunday night.

The driver of the car, a 39-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say charges are pending against her.
