2 people hospitalized in rollover collision on Anthony Henday near Terwillegar Drive

Edmonton police say two people in hospital following a rollover collision on Anthony Henday Drive near Terwillegar Drive Wednesday morning.

EPS issued a short statement just before 9 a.m., saying traffic is being diverted onto the Terwillegar offramp, and only the far-left lane is open. At the time, drivers were asked to avoid the area.

Just before Noon, EPS said around 7 a.m., a 19-year-old was driving a Ford Ranger west on Anthony Henday.

The Ranger then reportedly made a sudden lane change from the middle lane to the right lane. While making the lane change, the Ranger hit the front end of a Ford F150.

Both vehicles then when off the road into the ditch, where the Ranger rolled before coming to a stop.

EPS says the occupants of the Ford Ranger were taken to hospitals by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the F150 was not not injured in the collision.

Police also note that alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the collision.

All lanes on Anthony Henday Drive have been reopened.
