5-year-old wanders from camper, drowns in pond south of Edmonton: police

Mounties say a five-year-old has drowned near a campsite in central Alberta.
Police say it happened Tuesday at the Lions Campground in Wetaskiwin, south of Edmonton.
They say the child, a resident of Wetaskiwin, had left the family camper while the parents were sleeping.
The child was later found in a pond beside the campsite.
Efforts were made to revive the child, who later died in hospital.
