Autopsy into Millcreek Ravine death confirms homicide

Edmonton police say an autopsy of the woman who died in the Millcreek Ravine over the weekend has been completed.

The EPS says officers were called to the ravine after Edmonton Fire Rescue Services found a body after extinguishing a fire in the ravine.

The Edmonton Medical Examiner’s office was able to identify the woman as 31-year-old Threna Waskahat.

The autopsy also ruled her death to be a homicide, however, police are withholding the cause of death due to the investigation.
