Police arrest man wanted in machete attack in Alberta town

A suspect wanted in connection with an alleged unprovoked attack involving a machete in Lloydminster has been arrested, according to police.

Lloydminster RCMP say 29-year-old Jordan Keenan-Quewezance was taken into custody Wednesday.

Police had described him as armed and dangerous.

He was wanted on warrants for aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and breach of probation in relation to the June 21 attack.

Lloydminster is 250 kilometres east of Edmonton on the Alberta-Saskatchewan border.
