Police seek BMW involved in hit and run of motorcyclist in southwest Edmonton

By News Staff

Edmonton police are looking to locate a suspect vehicle involved in the hit and run of a motorcyclist in southwest Edmonton earlier this month.

The Edmonton Police Service says it is looking for a red/maroon BMW 3 Series (late 1990s to early 2000s) with white doors. The car will have front and passenger-side damage.

Police say the BMW was travelling north on Haddow Drive near Haliburton Road when it sideswiped a motorcycle, which was driving in the same direction, on June 14 around 11:30 p.m. The motorcycle went down and the car fled the scene, according to police.

The 24-year-old motorcyclist suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.

The EPS Major Collision Investigation Section (MCIS) is investigating.

Anyone with information on the suspect vehicle is asked to contact EPS at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
