Man arrested after ‘suspicious’ death in McCauley neighbourhood

A man is in police custody as homicide detectives investigate what they describe as a suspicious death in Edmonton’s McCauley neighbourhood Monday morning.

The Edmonton Police Service says officers responded to a report of gunshots at 109 Avenue and 96 Street at 5:13 a.m.

Officers arrived to find a man suffering from life-threatening injuries. He died at the scene. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday morning.

Police say a man was arrested “shortly after the incident.”
