1 dead, another injured after vehicle-pedestrian collision in Edmonton

Edmonton police say one person is dead and another is injured following a vehicle-pedestrian collision Sunday night.

EPS says officers responded to a report of a collision near 120 Street and 113 Avenue around 11:50 p.m.

Reports indicated an SUV was heading north on 120 Street when it collided with a man and a woman who were walking on the road.

A 47-year-old man was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.

Police say they found a 30-year-old who had fled the scene at a nearby coffee shop suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. She was taken to a hospital by paramedics.

Police say drugs and alcohol were not factors in the collision.
