Third e-scooter company coming to Edmonton

Edmonton is getting more e-scooters this summer.

The City of Edmonton announced Thursday that Neuron will be joining Lime and Bird with providing e-scooters to the city.

Neuron will begin rolling out 600 safety-first e-scooters and 200 e-bikes on across the city on Friday.

“Edmonton is great for micromobility and we are thrilled to launch our e-scooters and e-bikes in the city. To celebrate our launch, we are offering heavily discounted rides so more people can take advantage of the benefits of our e-scooters and e-bikes,” said Ankush Karwal, the general manager of Canada at Neuron Mobility.

“Our vehicles are a great way to reduce emissions and congestion, and we know both locals and visitors will enjoy using them for their daily commute,” he continued. “We look forward to providing Edmonton with a safe, convenient, and inexpensive service.”

Neuron’s e-bikes and e-scooters will be hard to miss, as they are bright orange.

Riders 18 and older can book a bike or scooter through the Neuron app. Rides will cost $1.15 to unlock the vehicle and $0.42 per minute.

Neuron also says other purchase options are available which include monthly passes and discounts for more frequent users.
