Parkland RCMP say they have made an arrest in connection to a hit-and-run on Highway 16 near Range Road 35 on Monday.
RCMP responded to a collision involving a pedestrian on Highway 16 around 12:20 a.m. on June 3.
It was reported a grey van was driving east when it collided with someone who was crossing the road, and proceeded to carry on driving after the collision.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital by STARS air ambulance after suffering serious injuries.
Tuesday, RCMP received a tip claiming someone had witnessed the vehicle believed to be involved, which Mounties had identified as a 2012-2014 Grey Chevrolet Orlando.
As a result of the tip, RCMP located the van, and a 43-year-old woman was taken into custody.
Mounties say driving-related charges are pending, and an investigation is ongoing.
