2 in custody after death of 65-year-old man in northeast Edmonton

Police say two people are in custody in connection with the death of a 65-year-old man in northeast Edmonton Saturday evening.

The Edmonton Police Service says officers were called around 7:30 p.m. about a suspicious death at a home at 135A Avenue and 68 Street.

Police say a man and woman from the home contacted police to report the death.

Officers arrived and found the 65-year-old man dead inside the home. Homicide investigators determined the death was suspicious.

Edmonton police say the man and woman at the home were taken into custody.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
