RCMP charge man in Leduc in connection to death on Tuesday

Alberta RCMP says a 45-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection to a death in Leduc on May 7.

Mounties say they received a request for a well-being check regarding a man in an apartment building along 50 Street.

When officers arrived at the apartment, they found a man dead.

An autopsy was later conducted and the man was identified as 74-year-old Leonard Harry Belcourt.

Through an investigation, RCMP charged 45-year-old Scott Thomas Serson in connection to the death.

Serson is expected to appear in court on May 10.
