One of India’s most popular entertainers is continuing to pack arenas on his western Canadian tour.
Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh performed for a sold-out Rogers Place in Edmonton Monday night, the third Canadian date on his “Dil-Luminati” tour.
“EDMONTON” Dosanjh wrote, with two flame emojis, in a social media post alongside photos of Monday’s performance. “ROGERS PLACE SOLD OUT”
“I think it’s so special that he’s coming to Edmonton with so many people wanting to listen to his songs. Huge fans, Diljit’s the best,” a young fan told OMNI News.
“It’s such a proud moment for an Indian to make sure the arena is fully sold out,” another fan said. “As an Indian, I feel so proud about it.”
The singer-songwriter and filmmaker made history last month with a sold-out show for more than 54,000 fans at Vancouver’s BC Place – the largest Punjabi concert outside of India.
He then performed for a rocking Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg last Friday.
“I love Diljit. I came all the way from Vancouver. I was in the show over there, now I’m here, and I’m going to Calgary as well,” a travelling fan said.
The singer continues his tour at Calgary’s Saddledome on Wednesday. He then performs in the United States before returning to Canada for a Toronto show on July 13.
