1 man arrested after fatal assault near 118 Avenue, 90 Street: EPS

Edmonton police say a suspect is in custody after an alleged fatal assault Friday morning.

The Edmonton Police Service says officers were called to 118 Avenue and 90 Street around 6:30 a.m. after “multiple reports” of an assault.

Officers arrived to find a man in medical distress. He was taken to hospital, where he died of his injuries. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

A man was taken into custody nearby. Police say investigators are not looking for any additional suspects.
