Herd of dinosaurs take over the Edmonton Expo Centre

Edmontonians will be able to go back in time and we’re talking way back. Immerse yourself in a prehistoric world as dinosaurs stomp around the city this weekend.

Jurassic Quest is in town for the weekend, where you can see life-size dinosaurs, dig for fossils, and even ride a dino.

“It’s is the biggest most interactive and most realistic dinosaur exhibit. We travel throughout the country,” said Aerika Gabbin, Jurassic Quest

You can even get up close and personal with baby dinosaurs like Trixy the triceratops.

“This is one of the baby dinos you will be able to meet, there are two others. And of course, just like I’m touching her in real life and in person, you’ll be able to do the same thing,” said Gabbin.

The event, was kid-approved by those who checked it out Friday afternoon. Even the biggest dinosaurs couldn’t scare the young crowd.

“They are actually really cool and they look very realistic,” said one kid at Jurassic Quest.

Another saying, “Um no, they are actually very cool,” when asked if they were scary.

Jurassic Quest says they’ve worked with experts to make the event as realistic as possible.

“We worked with tons of paleontologists to try to get every little detail that we could perfect,” said Gabbin.

The event runs Friday, April 26, Noon – 8 p.m.; Saturday, April 27, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Sunday, April 28, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. at the Edmonton Expo Centre.
