Fire crews battle grass fire near Enoch, Alberta

Wildfire season is underway in Alberta as fire crews responded to a large grass fire just west of Edmonton Tuesday afternoon.

Enoch RCMP said around 4:30 p.m., Mounties evacuated nearby residences surrounding the fire.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire and it was fully extinguished around 7:30 p.m.

All the residents who were evacuated have been allowed to return home.
