Edmonton police seize $246K of cocaine, meth, other drugs in trafficking investigation

Edmonton police say three suspects have been charged and another is wanted in connection with a drug trafficking investigation that resulted in the seizure of more than two kilograms of cocaine.

The Edmonton Police Service says it began its investigation in November 2023, identifying suspects and obtaining search warrants for homes and vehicles.

Police say the following was seized as a result of those warrants:

  • 2 kg of cocaine (estimated street value: $176,000)
  • 450 grams of methamphetamine (estimated street value: $27,500)
  • 85 grams of fentanyl (estimated street value: $13,000)
  • 10,000ml of gamma-hydroxybutyrate (estimated street value: $10,000)
  • 65 grams of crack cocaine (estimated street value: $5,400)
  • 120 grams of hash (estimated street value: $3,000)
  • 1,000 Oxycodone and Oxycocet pills (estimated street value: $5,000)
  • 1.1kg of Phenacetin (estimated street value: $5,700)

Investigators estimate the total value of the drugs seized to be around $246,000.

Two 20-year-old men and a 22-year-old man are facing a multitude of drug-related charges.

Investigators are also looking for Johnpreet Singh Kang, 36, who is wanted on warrants for trafficking a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
