Burned-out truck linked to Westmount drive-by shooting: Edmonton police

By News Staff

Police believe a burned-out vehicle found in northeast Edmonton Tuesday night is connected to a drive-by shooting in Westmount two days earlier.

Police say the burned, dark grey F-250 pickup truck was found at 64 Street and 176 Avenue.

Investigators say it matches surveillance images of a truck fleeing the scene of Sunday’s drive-by shooting near 124 Street and 110 Avenue.

Police say a 33-year-old man was injured in the shooting and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are still looking to identify the driver of the vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call 780-423-4567.
