Edmonton police say they have located a vehicle believed to be linked to Monday’s hit-and-run on Whyte Avenue.
The search for the driver of the damaged 2011-12 orange Dodge Journey continues, police say.
EPS says Monday around 8:12 a.m., officers responded after a woman was struck by an orange SUV.
Police say the woman and her daughter were walking southbound across Whyte Avenue at 97 Street in a marked crosswalk. It’s believed the woman moved her child out of the way before being hit.
Police say the SUV did not remain at the scene and knocked over a stop sign while driving away.
Paramedics treated the woman at the scene before taking her to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Her daughter, a six-year-old girl, was not injured.
If anyone has any information regarding this collision, contact investigators at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
