Man fatally struck by while walking on south Edmonton road: police

Edmonton police say one man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle Wednesday night along 50 Street.

EPS says around 9:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian.

The report indicated a man was walking along the east shoulder of 50 Street, just south of 41 Avenue, when he was hit by a vehicle driving north.

Paramedics attended the scene and took a 25-year-old man to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.

Police confirmed Friday afternoon the man had died from his injuries.

EPS has confirmed the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
