Train derails near St. Albert, no injuries, leaks, fires reported

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB), RCMP, and CN say a train derailed near St. Albert Monday morning.

The RCMP first issued a statement Monday morning, saying it derailment occurred near Veness Road and Poundmaker Road.

CN also confirmed crews had responded, noting no injuries, leaks, or fires were reported.

The TSB adds an investigation into the cause of the derailment is underway.
