Anti-Muslim letter left on doorstep of southeast Edmonton home, police looking for suspect

Police in Edmonton are turning to the public for help to identify a suspect in what they say is a hate-motivated incident.

The Edmonton Police Service says around 4:20 a.m. on Feb. 29, an unknown man had reportedly left a threatening note on someone’s doorstep in the Meadows neighbourhood.

Police say the note included anti-Muslim comments.

EPS has released video surveillance from the home, which shows someone approaching in the early hours of the morning.

The suspect has been described as a man wearing dark-colored shoes with white laces, light-colored pants, and a reflective jacket.
