Edmonton police identify suspect in liquor store robbery

Edmonton police say they’ve identified one of two suspects believed to be connected to a recent liquor store robbery.

Police say around 11:42 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28, a suspect reportedly entered a liquor store near 132 Avenue and 59 Street. After reportedly shopping around the store, they were joined by a second suspect as they approached the clerk.

At this time, the second suspect allegedly sprayed the clerk in the face with pepper spray, and both suspects fled the scene.

Police say the first suspect has been identified as 26-year-old Bradley Clifford Leland. At the time, he was wearing a white hoodie, black ‘Nike’ brand sweatpants, white shoes, a black cross-body bag, black over-the-ear headphones around his neck, and a beige ‘Nike Jordan’ brand hat.

The second suspect has been described as a man between 20 and 30-years-old. At the time he was wearing ‘Adidas’ brand black pants with white stripes, a black hooded sweatshirt with a scattered ‘PARIS’ wordmark pattern, and white, grey, and black shoes.

Police are advising if anyone sees either of the two suspects, to contact EPS and do not approach them.

Police continue to actively investigate this incident and are hopeful the public may be able to assist with the location of the first suspect and identification of the second suspect.
