Man charged with 2nd-degree murder in fatal northeast Edmonton stabbing

Edmonton police have charged a 30-year-old man with second-degree murder in connection with a fatal stabbing Monday.
Police say officers responded to the report of a stabbing at a home at 35 Street and 122A Avenue around 3:45 p.m. They arrived to find a 35-year-old man “in medical distress.”
He was transported to hospital where he died of his injuries.
Police have identified the victim as Cody Lyle.
An autopsy Tuesday determine Lyle died of a stab wound, and the manner of death was homicide.
Homicide police have charged Jayden Cody Francis Cardinal.
