A recent theft has given new meaning to the name of a carving in central Alberta.

A five-foot-tall “Moose on the Loose” carving was stolen from the front yard of a home in Sylvan Lake, west of Red Deer, on Jan. 3, according to police.

The custom carving is described as “one of a kind” and worth thousands of dollars.
