Charge laid after autopsy determines victim was fatally stabbed downtown: EPS

Edmonton police have charged a 23-year-old man in connection with a man’s death downtown last week, which an autopsy determined was a homicide.

Harley Herman, 34, was identified as the victim of a fatal stabbing that took place Friday around 2 a.m. near 107 Avenue and 104 Street.

Officers arrived to find a man in medical distress. He was declared dead at the scene shortly after paramedics arrived.

An autopsy Wednesday determined the victim died of a stab wound and that the manner of death was homicide, police say.

Homicide detectives arrested Tyler Gray and charged him with second-degree murder.
