    UP NEXT:

Edmonton police are asking the public for information related to two separate collisions involving pedestrians.

Edmonton police say a 14-year-old is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit while crossing 23 Avenue Friday morning.

They say at around 8:25 a.m., officers responded to reports of a hit-and-run collision involving a pedestrian.

It is believed that the teen who was hit was crossing in a marked crosswalk that connects to the multi-use trail that crosses 23 Avenue just east of 85 Street when she was hit.

Reports indicate a silver sedan, which might be a Ford, fled the scene heading north on 85 Street.

Police say the teen was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

If anyone has any information regarding the hit-and-run, they are asked to contact investigators at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
