Body found in burning dumpster in Spruce Grove
RCMP in Spruce Grove say a person was found dead inside a burning dumpster outside a strip mall Monday morning.
Just before 5 a.m., Parkland RCMP and Spruce Grove Fire responded to a report of a dumpster fire near Calahoo Drive and McLeoad Avenue.
The initial report of the fire was by an off-duty officer who was on their way to work.

After the fire was extinguished, a body was found in the dumpster.

An investigation is underway, and RCMP are expected to be at the scene for several hours.
Investigators are asking if anyone was in the area prior to the fire to contact Parkland RCMP at 825-220-7267 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
