By News Staff

Two suspects accused of kidnapping two people at gunpoint in eastern Alberta this week are at large and considered “armed and dangerous,” according to police.

RCMP say Braidy Pardy, 28, and Matthew Nicholson, 21, are wanted in connection with the kidnappings Thursday in Lloydminster – on the Alberta-Saskatchewan border.

Police say one victim was able to break free and report the incident to law enforcement, and both victims are now safe.

An arrest warrant was issued for both suspects. They have each been charged with kidnapping, forcible confinement, aggravated assault, and other firearm offences.

Pardy is described as six-foot-three, weighing 215 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Police believe he fled to the Edmonton area, but add he has ties in eastern Alberta.

Nicholson is described as five-foot-eight, weighing 130 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Police say he was spotted in Lloydminster Thursday evening; he has ties to Calgary and Edmonton.
