Edmonton police say a 54-year-old motorcycle driver was seriously injured in a hit-and-run involving a Volvo sedan on Whitemud Drive Friday afternoon.

The Edmonton Police Service says a Volvo S60 struck the motorcyclist, causing him to fall off and slide, on the westbound side of Whitemud Drive just east of 17 Street around 1:40 p.m.
