New pedestrian bridge between WEM, Misericordia Hospital open

Edmonton’s newest bridge is now open. The pedestrian bridge located between 87 Avenue and 90 Avenue connects the Misericordia Hospital and the surrounding community with West Edmonton Mall and West Edmonton Mall’s transit centre.

The new design is accessible for people walking, with bikes and users of all ages.

The project cost around $10 million dollars with the cost shared between the city, the mall and Alberta Health Services.
