1 dead in plane crash near Claresholm

RCMP in southern Alberta say that a young woman from Ontario has died following a plane crash Monday evening.
On Aug. 28, around 7:30 p.m., Claresholm RCMP say it received a call saying that a small airplane had crashed in a field north east of the Claresholm airport.
RCMP, EMS, and Fire attended the scene and found the small plane.
The single occupant of the plane, a 24-year-old woman from London, Ont. was declared dead at the scene.
The file has been transferred to Transport Canada who will now take over the investigation into the cause of the crash.
