Recently released convicted sex offender back in Edmonton police custody

Edmonton police say David Hay is back in custody after being released from prison Saturday.
The 22-year-old is a convicted sexual offender who was released in Edmonton over the weekend.

On Saturday, the Edmonton Police Service issued a notice to the public of Hay’s release as they had reasonable grounds to believe he could commit another violent offence.
Hay was taken back into custody on Monday after police said he violated his court-ordered curfew condition Sunday evening.
