Autopsy of man killed at Edmonton’s Eastwood Park confirms homicide: Edmonton police

Edmonton police say the autopsy of a man killed in central Edmonton Friday has been completed.

Police say they responded to multiple reports of a weapons complaint near 85 Street and 119 Avenue – in Eastwood Park – around 6 p.m. on Aug. 11.

Officers reportedly arrived to find a man in his 30s at the playground in life-threatening condition. He was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries.



The autopsy determined that 33-year-old Travis Cardinal died from multiple gunshot wounds and that the manner of death is a homicide.
