RCMP find body of teen boy who went missing in North Saskatchewan River

A tragic ending to the search for a teenager swept away by the North Saskatchewan river earlier this month.
Edmonton police confirm they recovered the teen’s body in the Smoky Lake area on Sunday June 11th, 2023.
The boy’s remains were recovered with help from Two Hills RCMP.

Emergency crews spent several days scouring the river after the teen was pulled away by the rushing currents.
EPS is offering their condolences to the boy’s friends and families.
