By News Staff

Police allege a 52-year-old man was fatally shot during a reported robbery Monday in southeast Edmonton.

Edmonton police say the victim has been identified as Shayne Edward Warn.

Police are investigating the man’s death as a homicide, after Tuesday’s autopsy confirmed Warn died of a gunshot wound.

The Edmonton Police Service says officers were called to a home in Forest Heights – at 76 Street and 105 Avenue – around 5 a.m. following reports of a robbery.

Officers arrived to find the victim in medical distress. Life-saving measures were performed on scene, but the man died of his injuries.

Investigators are hoping the public may have dash camera footage or residential CCTV of the area to help with the investigation.

Police are looking for footage of 76 Street and 105 Avenue on Monday between 4:45 a.m. and 5:15 a.m.
