Man in hospital after being hit crossing road: Edmonton police

A pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries after a collision Friday morning.

Police say the 64-year-old was walking at the intersection of 149 Street and 111 Avenue around 9 a.m.

The man was reportedly in a marked crosswalk but with a no walk signal at the time.

A southbound truck turning east struck the man as he walked into the street.

No charges are being considered against the driver at this time.
