Alberta Election: Edmonton results

The United Conservative Party won a majority Monday without any seats in Edmonton. Mayor Amarjeet Sohi is hopeful there will be more collaboration with city council to make sure Edmontonians are heard by caucus.

Results in the Alberta election are starting to come in, but many of the hottest contested areas still remain up in the air.

In total, 31 seats are up for grabs in and around Edmonton, including two in St. Albert (St.Albert and Morinville-St. Albert), and two in Sherwood Park.

Out of the 31 seats, the UCP has won 9 — the NDP has won 21 — the Alberta Party has won 0 — the Liberal Party has won 0 — other parties have won 0.

The nine seats won by the UCP, all were in the communities surrounding Edmonton.
