Edmonton police charge man in pharmacy robbery spree

Edmonton police have charged a man in connection to six pharmacy robberies.

EPS say between Jan. 3 and Feb. 21, 2022, officers responded to six pharmacies — listed below — after a man allegedly threatened pharmacy staff with a knife and demanded prescription opioids and cash.



Following a year-long investigation, officers were able to identify the man responsible for the thefts.

On Feb. 8, EPS charged a 30-year-old man from Enoch with 18 theft-related charges.

There’s no word on injuries related to the pharmacy robberies, or how much the man managed to acquire.
