Water main break impacts Bellamy Hill Monday night

Downtown Edmonton had some new lake-side property Monday night.
A water main break in Bellamy Hill caused the streets near 103 Street and 99 Avenue to flood around 8 p.m.
The water was turned off about 90 minutes later and people were encouraged to avoid the area during the cleanup.

EPCOR confirmed the burst pipe was a distribution main that carries more water than a typical main break.
At this point, there is no word on what caused the break.
