Man and woman charged with mail theft northeast of Edmonton, RCMP

RCMP says a man and a woman from British Colombia have been charged with mail theft in Fort Saskatchewan, northeast of Edmonton.

Officers say on Dec. 17 they were called for reports of a “break-in to mailboxes”.

When they arrived at the scene, officers say they saw a man and a woman fleeing in a vehicle. Not long after, officers were able to locate the pair and take them into custody.

Richard Kubik and Marion Sevilla have since been charged with theft of mail, possession of break-in instruments, possession of stolen property over $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000, and disguise with intent.

Both suspects are expected to appear in court on Jan. 19, 2023, at the Fort Saskatchewan provincial court.
